TikTok introduced new captioning and translation tools
South Korea: Globally popular Tik Tok is looking to expand its users’ video experience, offering great new options for auto-caption and real-time video translation.
Tik Tok’s goal is to make videos released in one language so that other people can see them globally and find new users. According to Tik Tok, the auto captions will be displayed on the right hand side for easy viewing and reading.
But Tik Tok has decided to surprise people with the next feature and that is that the video will be translated directly from text stickers or ovals. In this way, people unfamiliar with the language spoken in the video will also be able to understand what is being said in the video. In this way, TikTokers will be able to expand their video and find new markets.
In this regard, TikTok has also shared some screenshots of the sample. The first level includes English, Portuguese, German, Indonesian, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and Turkish. More languages will be added later.
TikTok insists that a video made in any language will be able to become a part of the global viral trend according to its content. Analysts have appreciated this action of Tiktok. He believes that just like the Tik-Talkers of a small country, they will be able to expand their platform by getting viewers all over the world.
TikTok has not given a definitive date for autocaption and translation, but has confirmed that it will be rolled out soon in a phased manner.
