According to foreign media, the Leader of the Opposition in Australia Anthony Albanese has been sworn in as the 31st Prime Minister of the country. The opposition Labor Party has won the Australian general election.
Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison conceded defeat in the election, congratulating opposition leader Anthony Albanese on his victory in the election.
According to Australian officials, the Labor Party won 75 seats in the 151-member parliament, while the Liberal National Alliance won 58 seats, the Australian Greens one and the others nine.
