The Chinese man is optimistic despite failing the university entrance test 25 times
BEIJING: Despite failing entrance exams at China’s top universities more than two dozen times, the man who failed has not given up and is now preparing for the 26th test.
Liang Shi, 55, owns a company. From a young age, he wanted to study at China’s most prestigious Sichuan University. But since 1983 they have been failing miserably and despite being rejected 25 times in total, they are hopeful that they will succeed now. However, throughout China he has become known as the ‘Exam Uncle’.
This is called the Gaokau Exam, which is held annually for admission to the top universities and colleges. That is why it is the hardest test that very few people can pass.
Although he can do a lot with his wealth, he still wants to study at this university. Liang says he is still young and reads like school days. He expressed hope that he would definitely succeed in the university exams this time.
However, he said he would continue to seek admission to Sichuan University until his dream came true. For the first time, he took a university exam at the age of 25 and failed. So far, he has scored 400 marks out of 750, which may enable him to get admission in some other but less good universities, but his needle is stuck on the best Sichuan University.
Liang said he has repeatedly failed the science exam and now this time he will take the arts and art exam and wants to be able to study at Sichuan University with good marks. However, the majority of people have said that maybe they will fail again.
“I am motivated by the criticism of the people because I want to prove them wrong. It should be noted that Gaukao exam is the toughest exam in the world. From here, successful people make it to the top universities in China. According to the parents, if the children pass this test, then the future is bright.
