California: WhatsApp blocked more than 2 million accounts in India for spreading harmful and inaccurate information.

According to foreign media, the popular messaging application WhatsApp has more than 400 million users in India and WhatsApp has released the first report under India’s new controversial social media laws.

WhatsApp management in its report blocked the accounts of more than 2 million users for being involved in spam messaging.
WhatsApp management says stopping the spread of harmful and unwanted messages is an important target.

Keep in mind that WhatsApp is taking steps to prevent fake news and misinformation, India is a big market for WhatsApp.
