Saudi Arabia cracks down on 48 top government figures on corruption charges
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has taken action against 48 more top government officials on other charges, including corruption.

According to the Arab News Agency, the country’s anti-corruption department, Al-Nazha, said that the 48 officials who have been prosecuted belong to the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Justice, Local Government, Rural Affairs, Housing, Education, Environment, Irrigation and others. And from the departments.

Some of the officials have also been linked to the Presidency for State Security, the Saudi Food, Drug Authority and the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection.
The officials are accused of bribery, abuse of power and forgery. In addition, 17 other local and foreign nationals have been arrested on corruption charges. The arrests were made on the basis of information obtained from the interrogation of 411 people involved in corruption. After legal proceedings, their cases will be sent to the courts.

It should be noted that in Saudi Arabia, large-scale action is being taken against allegations of corruption and harming the public interest for personal gain, in which action has been taken against dozens of government officials and citizens.
