Plastic pollution is a ‘new emergency’ for the whole world, experts say
Washington: Plastic waste has become a serious threat to the world. A new report released by scientists has called for a “new emergency on Earth” and called on the United Nations to intervene and legislate.

The Environmental Research Agency (EIA) has described the horrific dangers of plastics as a result of climate change. According to the report, the breath we are breathing now also contains plastic. Fine particles of plastic are being added to seafood and our plastic dumped in the oceans is reaching the deserts of Antarctica and the depths of the oceans.

Recently, 20 starving elephants in Thailand have died from plastic containers after eating from a trash can. The news from Africa is that thin plastic in fertile soil is destroying agriculture. That’s why EIA’s Tom Gamez says a plastic ticking bomb could explode at any moment, and that’s why it’s important to force the world community to stop making and using plastic.
On the other hand, US President Joe Biden also wants to tighten the noose around the manufacture and use of plastics. But no one knows whether Congress will accept it or not because the majority of plastics are made from oil and gas. On the other hand, China and the Gulf countries are also silent on this.

The EIA’s detailed report states that further research is still needed on the destructive effects of plastics. A plastic bag lasts five minutes and lasts for a thousand years. Going into the oceans, it becomes the food of sensitive creatures and is also causing death.

According to the report, plastic manufacturing has crossed all boundaries in the world and consumers do not want to get rid of plastic. Then there is the low rate of plastic recycling, which is even more worrying.
