Peace talks with Afghan government to accelerate in coming days: Taliban spokesman
The Taliban is expected to submit a written draft roadmap for peace to the Afghan government next month.
In an interview with the British News Agency, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that peace talks with the Afghan government would be intensified in the coming days. It may take a month for both sides to prepare a written plan for peace and order.
The Taliban spokesman said that despite the strong position on the battlefield, the Taliban are very serious about dialogue and negotiation.
On the other hand, on the statement of the Taliban spokesman, the Afghan government said that if the Taliban give a written roadmap for peace, it would be welcome.
In addition, the State Department spokesman said that the world would not accept any government imposed by force, and that the next Afghan government would be supported only if it respected basic human rights.
