Riyadh: Mr. Dakar Peter Hansel won the record 14th rally, managed to take the lead on the Saudi desert track, the death of French bike rider Pierre Cherpin faded the colors of joy.

These colors of joy faded when news came from France that Pierre Cherpin, the French rider of the rally, had died on January 10. He was transferred from Jeddah to France in critical condition but could not recover
