Israel’s forced eviction of Palestinians violates international law, UN
Gaza: UN officials on a visit to Jerusalem by Sheikh Jarrah say Israel’s forced eviction of Palestinians from their homes violates international law.

According to the international news agency, the representatives of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency visited Sheikh Jarrah near Jerusalem and went to the temporary camps where the Palestinians informed them about the Israeli atrocities.

On the occasion, UNRWA Commissioner General Philip Lazarini said that the eviction of Palestinians from the Sheikh Jarrah area was a serious violation of international law and a reflection of Israel’s occupying mentality. I will raise this deportation globally.

“As head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), his job is to protect and assist Palestinian refugees, and my first priority is to save Palestinians from the current trauma and loss,” he added.

The UN envoy assured the Palestinian refugees of all possible co-operation and assistance, and said that steps would be taken to repatriate them and that talks would be held with international powers.

It should be noted that the Israeli army had forcibly evicted the Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah in the month of Ramadan, due to which the clashes that started had turned into a war between Israel and Hamas in which 250 Palestinians were martyred and dozens of buildings were destroyed. Were done.
