Government mobilizes to save Pakistan football from ban
The federal government has reacted to fears of a ban on Pakistan football by the International Football Association.
Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza while addressing a press conference said that we do not want Pakistan to be banned by FIFA. I will also request FIFA to give us some time.
He said that the government has not interfered in the affairs of any federation and the government is trying to resolve the issues of football federation through dialogue.
Fehmida Mirza said that the PFF and the normalization committee should resolve the issue among themselves. I have written a letter to FIFA to send its delegation and I will also request FIFA to give us some time.
He said that they want to promote football in the country. We do not want the game of football to be affected in Pakistan. The normalization committee has a mandate till June. The government wants the mandate to be respected. There will be events.
