Dubai: Explosion at Jabal Ali port, fire broke out in containers
A container on a ship anchored at Dubai’s Jabal Ali Port exploded, setting the ship’s containers on fire.
The media office of the Emirate of Dubai confirmed a tweet that a container loaded on a ship anchored at Jabal Ali Port had caught fire. The blast shattered the windows of nearby buildings and set many containers on fire.
According to Dubai Civil Defense staff, the fire at Jabal Ali Port has been contained, no casualties have been reported in the incident while the blast is being investigated.
Foreign media say that some unverified videos are being shared on social media in which flames and smoke have been seen rising.
According to Al Arabiya News, the sound of explosion at the port has been heard all over the city, which was reported by the people to the media and authorities.
