Cruel joke with Hans, police looking for the accused
A brutal joke with a swan in the UK put his life in danger, after which the police began searching for the man.
A swan floating in a pond in the British county of Lincolnshire was given a black black sock over its face.
Police say Hans could have died of suffocation or starvation if he had not been helped in time. The stocking was so tight that it tied half the goose’s neck.
Police have launched a search for the perpetrator, urging him to come forward if there are any eyewitnesses to the incident.
According to police, they were informed of the incident by wildlife conservation organizations. This is an incident of cruelty to animals and such incidents will not be tolerated at all.
Police say it was not an accident but a deliberate act.
Considering that harming, injuring or hunting native birds is banned in the UK, violators could face up to six months in prison with a fine.
