A car bomb blast at a military checkpoint in Afghanistan has killed at least 14 people
KABUL: A suicide bomber struck a car packed with explosives at a military checkpoint in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province, killing 14 soldiers and wounding several others.
According to Afghan media, a speeding car collided with a military check post in Sherzad district of Nangarhar, which caused a loud explosion and completely destroyed the check post.
Obaidullah Shinwari, deputy head of the Nangarhar provincial council, told media that 14 people were killed in the suicide car bombing. The officers belonged to the Civil Order Force, which is under the Afghan Army
