4 killed in Indian PM’s visit to Bangladesh
At least four people have been killed in police firing during a protest against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Talking to Reuters news agency, police officer Rafiq Islam said, “When the protesters forced their way into the police station, they had to fire tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse them.”
The Indian Prime Minister is in Bangladesh to attend the Golden Jubilee of Independence and the birthday celebrations of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The late Sheikh Mujibur Rehman is the father of the present Prime Minister of the country Sheikh Hasina.
